The Minnesota POST Board is looking for their next Standards Coordinator. This position conducts reviews of law enforcement agencies to ensure compliance with POST Board rules, policies, and statutes. Additionally, this position investigates alleged violations of peace officer standards of conduct, minimum selection standards, and unauthorized practice. This position will additionally assist state and local units of government in complying with POST Board and statutory requirements. This position is eligible for a hybrid telework arrangement after successful completion of the probationary period. With a telework arrangement, onsite attendance may be required for team meetings or as decided by management to meet business needs. Completion of a telework agreement will be required. Please review the Telework Policy for details . Minimum QualificationsAn associate's degree in law enforcement, criminal justice, or a related field may substitute for 6 months of experience.
A bachelor’s degree in law enforcement, criminal justice, or a related field may substitute for one year of experience. Preferred QualificationsRequires occasionally moving and transporting such articles as file folders and small tools.
May need to maintain a stationary position for long periods of time while carrying out job duties. Additional Requirements Successful applicants must pass background and employment reference checks prior to employment. A criminal history does not automatically disqualify an applicant, and each case will be reviewed individually in alignment with fair hiring practices. This position requires an incumbent must maintain valid driver's license, and insurance, OR have other reliable transportation. Applicants must have had no disciplinary action taken against their peace officer license or certification.
